Tricycle with Duyunov's motor: a new project of the company "STIIN"
The combined winding motor DA-90S has been installed on one of the most popular tricycles in the world — the Indian Bajaj Maxima. The film crew of SOLARGROUP visited the company "STIIN" to observe the progress of modernizing the three-wheeled car and tell you about it.
Watch the video that shows the process of converting a factory produced tricycle to an electric one with Duyunov's motor and a solar panel on the roof.
The Bajaj Maxima cargo tricycle is produced in multi-million batches and is used as a commercial small-sized vehicle. In India alone, several hundred millions of these trucks are operated — and all of them have internal combustion engines. However, this country has adopted a law according to which all tricycles are planned to be converted to electric traction by 2025. In Europe, this means of transport is also very common: it is used to create mobile coffee shops, small shops, bakeries, etc.
Due to the popularity of the tricycle, the company "STIIN" decided to modernize it to offer the market a version with the unique characteristics that the DA-90S motor provides. To recap, the motor is produced in China by ASPP Weihai, using the modernization potential of the "Slavyanka" technology.
Instead of the factory produced motor, the truck has been equipped with the "motor-controller" kit manufactured by ASPP Weihai. The 54 A/h battery can be charged from the solar panel placed on the roof of the car.
The combined winding motor is so cost-effective that the battery doesn't need to be charged from the mains at all — the solar power is enough to recharge it during stopovers. At least in sunny countries.
Another significant advantage: the motor is reliable, it does not need any maintenance, unlike the diesel one that was installed there previously. The savings on fuel and maintenance of the tricycle will be very significant, while the performance of the vehicle will only get better.
The convenience of "STIIN"'s development is also explained by the fact that the owner of a tricycle can quite easily replace the internal combustion engine with an electric set on their own.
We will continue to monitor the future of the promising development, and in the near future we will prepare a detailed review of the performance characteristics of the tricycle with Duyunov's motor.
