A guest from Sri Lanka at the trials of tricycle with DA-90S motor

Rupasiri Perera Hettiatatchiche, the investor in the project "Duyunov's motors" from Sri Lanka, visited the Moscow region to personally drive a Bajaj Maxima tricycle with a DA-90S motor. This three-wheeler model is very popular in his country, as well as in the whole Southeast Asia.

A guest from Sri Lanka was introduced to the vehicle by an expert in the field of motorized vehicles, engineer and video blogger Matvey Plotnikov. Together, they assessed the advantages of the tricycle.

- Power: the car easily carried the driver, passenger and 500 kg of cargo in the body.
- Smooth run and no vibration.
- Cost-effectiveness in all respects. Almost no expenses on the motor maintenance. At the same time, it consumes much less energy. Field tests demonstrated that the energy from the solar panel is enough to recharge the battery (50 A/h) both during parking and while driving (in the spring in Russia's temperate latitudes). As Matvey Plotnikov noted, in cloudy weather the battery was charging too. Over 1 month of almost daily operation, he charged the tricycle only 2 times from the power outlet.
- Eco-friendliness, no exhaust gases and no noise.

In Sri Lanka, the capabilities of the tricycle with a solar battery and a motor modernized by applying the "Slavyanka" technology will be even better. According to Rupasiri Perera Hettiatatchiche, in his country, this vehicle is used everywhere as cargo transport, as a passenger taxi, as well as in other business areas. As the project investor, he has high hopes that electric tricycles with Duyunov's motors will soon become widespread in Asia. The same goal is set by Andrey Lobov and his team engaged in modernization of the tricycle. To recap, they equipped the three-wheeled car with a kit based on the motor and controller produced by ASPP Weihai. And they plan to sell the tricycle in the Asian market as well.

If the tricycle project is successful, combined winding motors will become popular. By that time, "Sovelmash" will be able to develop customized motors on the territory of the engineering center. Vehicles with motors developed in the D3333E will have even more impressive performance characteristics.
