They are the future of karting: Andrey Lobov on electric karts with Duyunov's motors

One of the areas where electric motors with the "Slavyanka" combined winding have shown their advantages in operation is karting. A kart manufacturer from Moscow contacted "STIIN" to order an electric kit to replace the internal combustion engine.

The "STIIN" team installed a kit based on the DA-90SM motor with a fan in the kart. The company faced several challenges, which it was able to meet thanks to the cost efficiency and power of the motors with "Slavyanka". The electric cart can operate in three modes: rental, club (or racing, with the speeds of up to 70 km/h) and "turtle" mode. The mode can be switched by pressing a single button.

In the rental mode, the kart can do 6-7 laps 10 minutes each without recharging. In the club mode - 4 laps. The ability to combine multiple modes of operation in one kart is a great solution for karting clubs. It allows you to maintain only one fleet of universal vehicles and significantly save on their maintenance.

The "turtle" mode is needed to limit the kart speed to a minimum in case of an emergency on the karting track. It can be activated remotely.

The kart with Duyunov's motors was ordered by the Sochi company kartingclub.pro. The electric kart has been in operation at the Rosa Khutor karting track for several months. We recently told you that SOLARGROUP's national partner Gilles Weber had visited and personally tested the electric kart.

Users like the dynamics and easy operation of the vehicle with Duyunov's motor. It is easier for a beginner to learn how to operate this vehicle than a gasoline-powered one.
Electric karts have other advantages: no vibration, no loud noise, no fumes, which is especially valuable for indoor kart tracks.

All these performance features make motors with "Slavyanka" commercially viable and sought-after in the karting industry. All the more, according to experts, in the near future, electric karting will replace gasoline karting.
