Week results in the project "Duyunov's motors"

When the first "SovElMash" motor will be put into mass production and how the project is coping with the consequences of the global economic crisis - we are sharing the key events of the last seven days.

The first batch of customized combined winding induction motors designed at "SovElMash" is almost ready for shipment. Dmitriy Duyunov's team had a task to make one modification of the IP65 drive motor first and another modification later for a major Russian industrial enterprise. But the "SovElMash" employees fulfilled the plan 200% and created two motor modifications at once, both of them have already been tested.
Shipment of the first batch will take place before the end of March, and in the future, the descriptions and prices for the new motors will appear on sovelmash.ru, and the motors will be available for retail purchasing.

Meanwhile, the company is already receiving requests for the development of drive motors with greater power. The "SovElMash" equipment does not yet allow performing all the technological operations required for motor production, and the employees are too busy with the current order. However, the preparatory activities have begun: the documents are being processed and the equipment is being prepared. The first order for a motor with the capacity of more than 100 kW is planned to be accepted next quarter this year.

In China, after a break caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the plant that was supposed to produce constituent parts for the "SovElMash" general-purpose industrial motors has resumed operation. Negotiations with the Chinese partners on the delivery dates are underway . Soon, the world's first general-purpose industrial motor with combined winding of size 100 and energy efficiency class IE4 will be available for order, information about the motor will also appear on the company's website. Currently all the accompanying documents are being compiled: motor specifications certificate, operating manual, brief technical instructions. Besides, the general-purpose industrial motors are being prepared for certification, a whole batch of these motors is required to undergo the certification procedure.

We are stating: the engineering center construction has not yet started, but "SovElMash" has already started small-scale production of its own motors! As promised: within the period of up to three years after the project start.

The main events in the world could not leave the international project "Duyunov's motors" unaffected.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company "SovElMash" had to put off the production of the first batch of general-purpose industrial motors with "Slavyanka" at the Chinese plant. The restrictions on passenger air traffic and freight shipping, as well as the quarantine regime in a lot of countries resulted in postponing a number of the project activities. The planned opening of the national representative office in Indonesia in April was postponed.
The "Duyunov's motors" conferences in Latin America that had been to be held in a number of cities in Colombia, Peru and Mexico were postponed indefinitely.

The financial crisis aggravated the ruble's nosedive and the collapse of stock markets. The sharply increased dollar exchange rate made it difficult for Russians to invest in the project. Taking care of the investors, we have fixed the exchange rate at 67 rubles per 1 dollar, so that the project participants could make their installment payments and purchase the investment shares at the regular price. The fixed rate will be valid until and including March 20. It is difficult to predict how the situation will develop further.
