A "Slavyanka" based boat was tested on San Pablo mountain lake
The visit to Ecuador paid by the SOLARGROUP delegation and Andrey Lobov, Director of the "Resurs" production cooperative, turned out to be an unusual one. To transport a heavy boat motor from Russia by plane, they had to disassemble it and pack it as two pieces of luggage.
The motor was assembled by the students from the University of Ecuador right as Andrey Lobov was making a presentation for them. This indicates a very good technical background the university offers and the simplicity of the kit itself.
At the request of SOLARGROUP's leading partner in Ecuador Martha Crespín Calderon, the electric motor was delivered to San Pablo mountain lake. It is considered a natural gem of Ecuador with many tourists visiting it. Electric motors will help keep the lake clean.
Although the boat station did not have a boat with a transom height of 381 mm, which would have been suitable for the delivered motor, the test still took place. The propeller was well above the bottom, so the boat was unable to develop impressive speed. It also put extra strain on the motor. But the battery did not run out in an hour of testing, which confirmed not only the power, but also the efficiency of the "Slavyanka" based motor.
The great advantage of combined winding motors is that they can be used in conjunction with solar panels and charged directly on the water. The partners and investors of the project in Ecuador and Peru are confident in the environmental friendliness and prospects for the motors in their countries. And they intend to promote them in every way possible, including further boat tests.
