Developments by "Sovelmash" at the "Army-2022" forum

"Sovelmash" presented more than 20 of its own original developments at the international military and technology forum "Army-2022".

We'll tell you about some of the exhibits.

1. General-purpose industrial electric motors with the "Slavyanka" combined winding
They consume less electricity, are more powerful, reliable, and more efficient than any known counterparts in the world.

2. Induction hub motor
The world's first induction hub motor has many advantages over BLDC motors. In particular, rare-earth metals are not used for its production, which significantly reduces the production cost and makes it possible not to depend on imported components.

3. Gearless elevator winch
It can be used in passenger, cargo-and-passenger, freight, hospital elevators and other lifting devices used in buildings and facilities. It is distinguished by its high energy efficiency and reliability. "Sovelmash" can cover Russia's high demand for elevator winches, develop and produce them in-house, without foreign intermediaries.

4. Traction electric drive
The prototypes of DAT-100L6 electric motors were successfully tested as part of the vehicles owned by the customer enterprise. Traction motors made by applying the "Slavyanka" technology are more powerful, consume less energy and last longer than motors with traditional winding.

5. BTR-80 hybrid ATV
This "Sovelmash" mobile laboratory was created to elaborate electric drive systems in various types of vehicles, including a hybrid power system. Each wheel of the all-terrain vehicle was equipped with a combined winding electric motor.
As a result, reliability and maneuverability were improved, and silent running became possible.

6. Built-in electric drive, power tools and household appliances with them
The "Sovelmash" specialists developed a built-in electric motor and controller that can be used in different types of tools and household appliances. A milling machine, a barrel pump, a high-pressure washer, an angle grinder, a lawnmower and other exhibits with a built-in drive were on display at the company's booth.

7. Sleeves, discs and cylinders made of rubber ferrite, produced on an inhouse-developed plant
The magnetization unit helps to produce incremental encoders and thus opens up additional opportunities for making induction motors. By using the magnetization unit, it is possible to produce sensors in batches of about 30-40 thousand per month.

Thanks to participating in the forum, "Sovelmash" attracted the attention of the press and potential major customers as one of the leading innovative companies in Russia.
