The territory of innovators: "Technopolis "Moscow" as the best site for "SovElMash" design and engineering department

"SovElMash" has started construction of the design and engineering technology department on the territory of the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow".
We will tell you more about the special economic zone that many companies dream of becoming residents of, but only a few manage to do so.

To recap, "SovElMash" received the resident status of the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" in February 2019, having successfully passed a very serious selection procedure and a lot of inspections carried out by supervisory authorities. A 2.1-hectare plot on the "Alabushevo" site was allocated for the construction of the D3333E department. The enterprise for developing innovative, high-demand products with hardly any comparable rivals in modern Russia will be set up here.

The special economic zone is a space within which the state provides the most favorable conditions for such companies.
There are a number of significant preferences for the SEZ residents.

Free customs zone
There is a separate customs checkpoint for innovative products on the SEZ territory which enables reducing the scope of customs procedures. It works 24/7.
The resident companies are exempt from paying customs duties on goods and equipment imported to the territory of "Technopolis "Moscow".

Tax benefits
The SEZ residents do not pay property, land, or transport taxes. The income tax is reduced for them: it will be 2 % until 2028 and will rise to 14.5 % starting from 2033. While the standard taxation in Russia is 20 % now.

The land benefits
The land plot on the territory of the SEZ is leased on preferential terms: for 2 % of its cadastral value. Besides, after the construction is completed and the project is put into operation, the resident can buy out their land plot for 1 % of its cadastral value.

Simplified system of interaction with the state authorities
Companies operating on the territory of the SEZ have access to the resident's back office which allows them to conduct electronic document management, interact with governmental agencies in a single-window mode, and carry out industrial cooperation with other residents and legal entities.

Developed infrastructure
On the territory of the SEZ there are production and storage facilities, a logistics center, necessary communications, a full-cycle printing house, and convenient parking. There is a rapid response system in case of incidents and emergencies. Good transport accessibility of the SEZ that is located close to major metropolitan highways, railways and airports, is also important.


The special economic zone has existed in Zelenograd since 2006. However, even during the Soviet Union, the restricted-access science city in this area of Moscow was one of the main industrial centers of the country. It's worth mentioning that half of the residents of Zelenograd had a higher education, while in the country this figure was approximately 30 %. The city still remains a space for developing high technologies. It must be said that the company "SovElMash" now also operates in Zelenograd, on the leased premises.

"Alabushevo" is the largest and most promising of the five sites of the special economic zone "Technopolis "Moscow", with excellent transport accessibility. It was created literally from scratch in the field, and now occupies an area of over 142 hectares. There are already 27 high-tech companies operating here, and new enterprises are put into operation annually.

Recently, the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin approved the updated design plan for "Alabushevo", according to which it is planned to build 38 more projects for various purposes: industrial, utility and warehouse, administrative (including a hotel for the SEZ residents).
It is planned to turn "Alabushevo" into the largest innovative city in Moscow, which by 2030 will become a center of attraction for highly skilled professionals, investments and technologies.
