Snowmobile with Duyunov's motors: user review

We have already told about a tracked vehicle which "STIIN" equipped with a DA-90S electric motor kit modernized by applying the "Slavyanka" technology. A few months ago, this snowmobile was ordered for the recreation center "Zhemtchuzhina" ("Pearl"), located in the Chelyabinsk region, at Lake Uvildy.
The head of the recreation center Dmitriy Molchanov tells how the vehicle is used and whether it lives up to the expectations entrusted to it.
Lake Uvildy is called the pearl of the Southern Urals and is considered the cleanest in Russia after Lake Baikal. Its territory is protected by law, it is forbidden to use vehicles with internal combustion engines on the water surface. That's why the owners of the recreation center chose a vehicle with an electric drive. It is important to them that the snowmobile can carry passengers and cargo across the snow-covered lake in winter.
The motor accomplishes the task with flying colors. The vehicle carries 4-5 fishermen with cargo - that's about 500 kg of weight. After a replacement battery was purchased, the snowmobile began to be used daily, from morning to evening. The vehicle was used for three months in winter off-road conditions, it covered about 2,000 km over that time.
The snowmobile owners note its power, noise-free operation, simplicity and reliability as compared to its gasoline-powered counterpart. They also praised the quality of the "STIIN" service: the questions that arose were solved within a day. According to Dmitriy Molchanov, the new vehicle for the Ural region was also approved by the local environmentalists.
If you also want to take a ride on a snowmobile with Duyunov's motor around the picturesque places of the Ural lake, you can do it at the "Pearl" recreation center.
