5 basic rules of back office security

One of the top-priority areas in SOLARGROUP's work is to ensure security of the back office operation for the investors of the project "Duyunov's motors". Thanks to the work done by our specialists, the platform users are securely protected from scammers. However, the back office security depends not only on the protection system, but also on the actions of the users themselves.

We suggest you make sure that you have done everything possible from your end to protect your account.

1. A secure password for your back office account

Recommendations for creating a secure password are standard.

- The password must be complex including at least 8 characters. Use upper and lower case Latin letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using simple combinations, as well as those based on your public data (your first and last name, names of your friends and relatives, birthdays, etc.).

- Use a unique password for each service. Passwords for your back office account, email, and other user accounts that are important to you should not be the same.

- Store your passwords in a safe place. It is recommended not to save them in the browser. Use password repositories based on antivirus programs and other well-protected storage methods.

2. Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is a system of accessing your account based on two steps:

- the first step is to enter your login (e-mail) and password,

- the second step is entering a unique code that is sent to a special application on your phone or to your email.

This method provides good protection against account hacking. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in your profile settings in the back office.

3. Security code for financial transactions

You can enable additional protection for financial transactions in the back office, which is especially relevant for the project partners. The transfer of funds to the partner, as well as the withdrawal of funds from the partner account will be possible only after entering an additional transaction confirmation code, which is sent with each operation of this kind to the account owner's e-mail.

All security settings can be made in your profile settings here

4. Notifications about changing the IP address when logging into the back office

Every time a login is made to your back office account from a previously unknown IP address, a corresponding notification is sent to your email. If you haven't logged into your back office account from a new address, then respond to these notifications and report suspicious activity to SOLARGROUP technical support in a timely manner. Sometimes, when logging in from the same device, your IP address may change.

5. Email security

After hacking the email box, scammers often gain access to various user accounts. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to protecting your email, and, among other things, use a secure password (as described in the first recommendation).
