"Sovelmash" D&E in 5 years and development of electric motors in the future
The following question has been sent to the "Questions3333Answers" section: "How do you see the "Sovelmash" D3333E in 5 years? What can you say about the development of electric motors in the future?"
Dmitriy Alexandrovich Duyunov comments on this issue: "Currently we can only talk about what is planned. It is impossible to say for sure how things will turn out. But one thing is certain — there is no alternative to induction machines today. And if we want our country to manufacture products with a good production cost, so that we can stand proudly in the international arena and be competitive, it is necessary to reduce power consumption per unit of manufactured products. Given the fact that electric machines are involved in production of almost all types of goods, it is necessary to reduce their power consumption and increase efficiency. That is, today we can say that energy-efficient motors will be in demand and will sell on the market."
The demand for electric motors in the world market is obvious. According to BusinesStat, the largest developer of ready-made surveys for industrial and consumer markets in Russia and the CIS countries, about 7 billion electric motors are produced annually in the world. The electric motor market is growing, and according to BusinesStat projections, the global sales will amount to almost 10.0 billion units by 2023, demonstrating an increase of 19.4% over 2018. The need for induction motors is also growing, and consequently, so are the requirements for them - more productive, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions are needed. Today, 60% of the world's energy is consumed by induction electric motors. And "Sovelmash", as you know, is engaged in development of new generation induction electric motors by applying the combined winding technology "Slavyanka".
