"We are the first in the world to create this!" - Dmitriy Duyunov about the angle grinder
The angle grinder with a built-in induction drive is the first mass-produced product developed by "Sovelmash" using the "Slavyanka" technology. Unique in its kind.
"To the best of my knowledge, no one in the world has created a mains-powered angle grinder with a built-in induction drive. We will forever be the first! My congratulations to all the participants of the project!" - Dmitriy Duyunov comments.
Using the example of the angle grinder, it is well demonstrated that creating an innovative product is a time-consuming, complex and costly process.
• At first, the "Sovelmash" engineers designed an electric motor for the angle grinder and modelled its operation. This required specialised software and a robust server. And also a specialist who had to be trained beforehand.
• Then they produced the designed motor in several different versions. Casting the small-sized rotor squirrel cage with aluminum could not be done without specialised equipment, casting experience and an understanding the peculiarities of casting. In order to make the housing of the angle grinder robust enough, the "Sovelmash" specialists developed the housing and ordered a casting mould in China, on which 1,000 housings were cast. Delivery of the housings and moulds is expected.
• At various stages, the machine underwent a series of tests in the "Sovelmash" laboratory.

Now the industrial version of the angle grinder is ready and tested. The only thing left to do is to get certified. A pilot batch of 1,000 pieces will be released before executing the angle grinder on pre-order from investors.
