A celebration in Ecuador: What the SOLARGROUP conference in Quito was like?

The national representative office of SOLARGROUP opened in Ecuador in autumn 2021. The first conference was held at the same time, where we introduced the guests to the project and our plans for development. In the face of the pandemic, the company's management were only able to participate online.

A year and a half later, the SOLARGROUP team travelled to Ecuador for the first time to attend the conference in person. The number of investors in the country has doubled since opening the national representative office. More than 1,600 project participants live in Ecuador, and every third of them is an investor, and there are more than 200 active partners working there, too. It was important for them to get to know the company's management and learn about the project first-hand.

The conference was the event that had been long awaited and surpassed all the expectations. More than 200 people participated - an excellent turnout for Ecuador.

This time we talked mostly about the results.

Pavel Filippov, Head of Advertising and Public Relations, spoke about the construction progress of the "Sovelmash" engineering centre and shared other key news, too. He explained how the transformation into a joint stock company and an internal stock exchange would be carried out.

The commercial director Pavel Shadskiy said how much investment had been raised and how much was left to complete the funding.

Crucially, the Ecuadorians were able to see the "Slavyanka" based electric motors first-hand. Andrey Lobov, head of the "Resurs" production cooperative, demonstrated them, specifically the boat motor. He spoke about the opportunities of applying the technology to vehicles and the successful developments of his company. June 3, the day of the conference in Quito, happened to be Andrey's birthday - and the entire audience congratulated him. The best gift for him was the keen interest of the audience in the technology and cooperation in Ecuador.

National partner Massimiliano Vivian Rossini in Ecuador and Peru and leading partner Martha Crespín Calderon also addressed the audience.

The 6 hours of the conference flew by thanks to the rich content and activity of the audience.

See the photos from the event to get a flavour of the atmosphere.

The conference broadcast recording is available here.

A new impetus for developing the project in Ecuador has been given. Let's keep working!
