New motor with "Slavyanka" from ASPP Weihai

ASPP Weihai Technology has launched the production of DA-132SL - a four-pole combined winding traction motor.

In the near future, the prototype models will be made, one of which will be sent for testing to a customer in Russia, the other one will remain in China to be tested on a 7-seat Suzuki minivan.

The new motor has a larger diameter than the previous versions.

The expected rated power is 30 kW.

The expected speed of the minivan is at least 130 km/h (when using a 120 V battery and a 550 A controller).

To recap, ASPP Weihai Technology is located in China and is engaged in modernization of induction electric motors under licence by applying the combined winding technology "Slavyanka". The company is run by the partner of "Sovelmash" Victor Arestov.

Over several years of work, he has applied the motors with "Slavyanka" on a variety of different types of vehicles. Among the four-wheeled developments:

- Renault E-Kangoo 4x4,
- Pickman electric truck,
- four-wheel drive pickup truck,
- P-6 Plus E-300 electric car,
- E-Car Mini,
- electric Renault Twizy,
- EV-Citroёn.

All of them have proved to perform well in real operating conditions, significantly outperforming their factory-made rivals in terms of such indicators as speed, power, travel range and energy consumption.
