Personal records at Solar Race 2023

Many of the project participants like our series of videos about the tuk-tuk. The Bajaj Maxima tuk-tuk with a "Slavyanka" based motor took part in Solar Race 2023 - a solar vehicle race across Kazakhstan.

The race started on June 11 in Uralsk, with 2,700 km to the finish line in Almaty. The route went through the harsh desert conditions - using solar power alone, without recharging from anything except what the participants had with them. There were two competitive stages in the race.

And today we are ready to show you what the team achieved on the way.

The tuk-tuk was dragging behind and so, criticised. You bet! After all, racing is about winning. However, that's not the only reason to challenge the solar-powered vehicle. The courageous and brave tuk-tuk crew were on a responsible mission all along - to test the motor in real-life conditions.

What did they encounter on the way? What difficulties were encountered and how were they resolved?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The team has yet to draw their conclusions.

In the meantime, let's see what personal records the tuk-tuk set each day of the journey.

Enjoy watching!
