Video surveillance, batteries and lawn: what's new at the "Sovelmash" construction site
The connection of the design and engineering technology department to the heat supply and other utilities is getting closer day by day.
• The installation of heat and water supply pipes from the heating station to the building is nearing completion.
• Hot water supply pipes are being installed inside the building.
• The heating batteries are being installed in the D&E laboratory.
• The ventilation system is being made, and most of its components have been stocked.
• Work is in full swing on the pipework for the heat distribution point.
• The video surveillance system has been installed and is already operational.
• High voltage power cables are being connected to the transformers.
• The installation of the 10 kW distribution unit has been started.
• The leak tightness of the pipes for the automatic fire extinguishing system has been checked.
The interior finishing of the building is in progress, too.
• Some walls of the stairwells have been painted.
• Finishing work is underway in the O&A building.
• Another batch of tiling has arrived to the site.
The most visually prominent changes are those in landscaping.
• Asphalt paving is underway. Entries and steps are being shaped.
• The temporary fence has been removed and preparations have started to install a permanent fence on the left side of the site. Its structural components have already been delivered.
• Excess soil is being removed.
• Lawn landscaping has begun in some areas.
The main goal now is to connect the utilities and complete the main construction activities before the cold weather sets in. The project is running the "Thank You" offer for this purpose.
