"Yezh" ("Hedgehog") with a "Slavyanka" based motor: field tests
Another example of how businesses use the "Slavyanka" technology. One of the Russian service facilities for repairing cars, snow vehicles and other means of transport, has electrified a snowmobile.
Project manager Dmitriy Zayko explains what kind of vehicle they intended to create: "We needed something simple and at the same time reliable and fast. Here are the 3 most important criteria. The main requirement is operation under severe winter conditions. We needed the most reliable electric motor in the world."
The innovative DA-95S motor with the "Slavyanka" combined winding, produced under licence by ASPP Weihai, was chosen for the vehicle. The technicians installed it on the mini snowmobile they created, which was named "Yezh" ("Hedgehog"), and conducted performance tests.
The range on a single charge was 35 kilometres at an average speed of 35-40 km/h. That's enough for a fishing trip or a ride in the woods.
The plan now is to put the snowmobile on two skis, increase the length of the track, make a different battery design and reduce the weight of the vehicle. One thing is certain — the motor will remain the same.
