"Technopolis "Moscow" has won six awards in the world ranking of free economic zones.

This year, the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" has taken part in the international ranking of the world's special economic zones Global Free Zones of the Year for the first time. And immediately scored a victory in six special nominations:
- "Cluster development",
- "COVID-19 Support",
- "Public and Private Partnership",
- "Production Localization and Expansion Opportunities",
- "Red Tape Reduction",
- "Workforce Amenities".

The ranking is organized annually by the English periodical fDi Intelligence and is the only international rating of SEZs recognized on the global level. This year, in addition to the main nominations, about 80 special nominations were determined, and in total about 100 special economic zones from all over the world applied for participation in the ranking.

The experts gave a high appraisal to the investment appeal of the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" and its opportunities for production development. All the residents regardless of the beneficiary country receive the same benefits for doing business: tax benefits, no customs duties, the right to buy out land at a minimum cost, developed infrastructure and transport accessibility.

The contribution of the Moscow SEZ to the fight against the pandemic was given special focus. During the period of restrictions, "Technopolis "Moscow" has lowered the lease rate for the residents, which allowed the companies to save about 50 million rubles in three months. The resident companies of the SEZ quickly repurposed their production to manufacture products necessary for the capital during the pandemic.

Besides, the rating also noted the infrastructure of "Technopolis "Moscow", the area of the territories and their amenities, as well as educational cooperation with the leading universities.

Winning six awards at once has been the best achievement among the Russian SEZs since 2014, when the ranking became annual. Apart from the Moscow SEZ, 5 other Russian special economic zones won awards in the ranking.
