Clean-up day at the "Sovelmash" D&E, tiling, installation of elevators and other activities
Today, the D&E building is being wet and dry cleaned, including cleaning the walls.
Representatives of the general contractor are installing tiling on the second-floor mezzanine, while work is also being carried out on the low-current networks, and in the motor assembly area this work has already been completed.
The following activities are underway:
• installation of supports for the installation of transparent interior partition walls in the O&A;
• installation of elevators. Once the elevators are put into operation, an additional scope of work will open up:
• commissioning and start-up activities to launch the production line for size-100 induction electric motors;
• earthwork on the left hand side of the building: soil is being removed, the trench has been dug and the installation of plugs to provide the building with hot and cold water supply is underway.
Other work is in progress as well.
On the right hand side of the building, the concrete mattress has been completed and waterproofing is being done. The plan is to reach the boundaries of the construction site next weekend and go beyond it.
