Celebrities make money on investments
Millions of dollars that Hollywood stars make and family fortunes of royalty require competent management. Perhaps for this reason, many celebrities take a keen interest in the investment field and are willing to invest in promising ideas.
Today we will talk about the celebrities who succeeded in making good money on investments in various projects. Their example will definitely inspire you or your friend to buy the first package of investment shares!
1. Ashton Kutcher is a well-known venture capitalist. In 2010, he founded the A-Grade Investments fund that has invested $30 million in a hundred of technology projects. After 6 years, the value of the fund's investment portfolio reached $250 million. Later, the actor opened the second investment fund - Sound Ventures. The most successful investments Kutcher has made include Skype, Airbnb, Pinterest, Uber, and Shazam. For example, the stake in Uber purchased in 2011 for $500 thousand increased in price 10 times in just 5 years.
2. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Few people know that the Terminator is an investor with a sound experience. He started investing in the late 60s choosing the construction business as his first project. Over 50 years, his investments have included a chain of restaurants and a fitness center, and the business deals with the shares in such companies as Coca-Cola, Starbucks, General Electric and Walmart have multiplied his millions.
3. Justin Timberlake is known not only for his musical talent. This talented person has mastered several professions at once, becoming a successful actor, producer, and even investor! Justin willingly invests the money earned at the height of his fame in music and technology startups. Besides, he co-founded the company Specific Media which in 2011 bought a quite popular social media MySpace.
4. Elizabeth II also does not pass up the opportunity to increase her royal fortune through investment. In the 2000s, she invested 100,000 pounds in the Millennium Mapping Company which specializes in creating detailed satellite images and mapping. A very practical decision!
5. In 2015, Leonardo DiCaprio invested in a company Diamond Foundry that grows artificial diamonds, believing that this technology will reduce the negative impact of mining precious stones on the environment. As an environmentalist and vegetarian, Leonardo chooses the relevant startups.
6. Jessica Alba has invested $6 million to create a company that produces eco-friendly home products named The Honest Company. The success of the project sparked the interest of the industry giant - the international corporation Unilever that wanted to buy the brainchild of Jessica for more than $1 billion. The deal did not take place, but it became known that the 20% stake owned by Alba increased in price by more than 35 times.
These examples show that it is not really important what the purpose of investment is: to earn "from scratch" on a promising idea or to multiply what you have already earned. Both goals can be achieved by choosing the right promising project.
