At the World Economic Forum 2020 in Davos, an annual report on the global risks posed for the planet Earth was published. TOP 5 of the announced risks includes two threats related to the environmental problems: climate change and a reduction in the diversity of species inhabiting the planet.

Aggressive human activity associated with the growth of population and consumption causes irrecoverable damage to the environment. The threatening influence of this factor on the climate has manifested itself in frequent natural disasters taking over the planet. Governments of leading countries ignore the problem for the sake of economic benefits, and scientific institutions and developers of "green" technologies often simply do not have enough funds to develop their innovative projects.
