New stage in the "Sovelmash" D&E construction: start of work on external engineering utilities | Day 309

Today is day 309 since the start of mounting the metal structures, April 12, Tuesday. Apart from the world-famous holiday, this day is significant for "Sovelmash" because of the big weekly business meeting, as well as the start of a new stage in the D&E construction - work on the external engineering utilities, specifically the removal of the temporary road slabs on the left side of the building. This is necessary for further installation of the engineering utilities, which will be accompanied by a considerable amount of earthwork. A truck with pipes, reinforced concrete structures and wells is being unloaded. In the future, these materials, among other things, will be used to build the engineering utilities. 

In the place where the truck is being unloaded now, there was previously a heating unit that heated the warehouse part of the D&E. Lately the weather has been welcoming us with consistently positive temperatures, further heating of the building is no longer required, and therefore the unit has been dismantled.

Work on installing the building envelopes is underway, namely, cladding the outer part of the walls, activities with a large number of builders involved are in progress - the outer casing of the inner ramp canopy is being mounted. 

Inside the building, the work that precedes casting the new base concrete "map" is underway. 

Most of the fireproofing has been completed in the building, the installation of the frames which the inter-wall partitions will be attached to is in progress, and the individual offices are being formed.
