Innovative developments of "Sovelmash"

"Sovelmash" is not only building the engineering center in Moscow, but is also engaged in various areas of innovative activity. The groundwork for this work was laid long before the launch of the project by the "Slavyanka" technology holder, the "ASiPP" team.
What have the "Sovelmash" specialists been able to achieve in the 5 years since the company's establishment?

  • The traction motor DAT-100L6 and a number of industrial induction electric motors with combined winding have been developed.
  • About 56 research and development projects have been launched.
  • A new incremental encoder design has been developed and a unit to produce its main components has been set up. With the help of this unit, the company will be able to produce sensors in batches of about 30-40 thousand items per month. The in-house manufactured encoders will ensure independence from the supply of important components, which opens up additional opportunities for the company.
  • The technology of casting short-circuited rotors with aluminum and the technology of vacuum die casting have been mastered. This resulted in high casting quality and high performance of the electric motor.
  • The casting equipment is developed and manufactured. The goal is to be able to make about 800 castings per day on one unit.
  • The team is working on the hub motor, preparing its prototype model, taking into account all the peculiarities of production.
  • A built-in electric motor for hand-held power tools is being developed by applying the "Slavyanka" combined winding technology. Specifically for the angle grinder (UShM) with a 230 mm cutting wheel, as well as for household appliances.
  • The work is underway to optimize the serial design of the drive system for the angle grinder, which includes an electric motor and controller with 220V power supply. The obtained results are positive. The production cost calculation as well as the other features, even the smallest ones, up to the optimal location of electronics on the controller board, have been taken into consideration.
  • The process equipment is being developed that will make it possible to produce serial batches of electric motors in different sizes. The company's engineers are already developing and manufacturing the tooling and process equipment to produce the motor built into the angle grinder.

Thanks to its innovative activity, the "Sovelmash" specialists will be able to create an enterprise that won't depend on external supplies, foreign process equipment and other imported components.
