Fast, quiet and enduring: what did the running tests of the "Slavyanka" based electric car demonstrate?
Andrey Lobov, CEO of the "Resurs" production cooperative, visited engineer Igor Korhov to test the Lada-Ellada electric car. The standard electric motor installed on it was rewound using the "Slavyanka" combined winding technology at "Sovelmash".
Igor replaced the controller, battery and some other units of the car to maximise its efficiency.
The car became much more efficient after the upgrade:
• the range doubled with much less energy used,
• it became possible to travel without a cooling system,
• fast acceleration from a standing start and excellent downhill coasting.
A Nissan Leaf electric car with a 40 kWh battery also participated in the tests. The comparative study showed that the Lada car with a 26 kWh battery was as good as the Japanese electric car in terms of driving performance and range.

Lada-Ellada is just one of many examples of the excellence that the "Slavyanka" technology has to offer. "Sovelmash" is the only company in the world that develops combined winding motors that are even more efficient and suitable for a wide range of applications.
