Building the "Sovelmash" design and engineering technology department (D&E) is now the main task of the company. The company will develop energy-efficient electric motors based on the "Slavyanka" technology and earn profit from it. At the same time, the company also tackles the other tasks in order to ensure the additional commercial viability of the enterprise.
Development of combined winding motors
The production capacities are already in operation at the company's leased premises in Zelenograd. These are the testing, casting, and winding areas, the machining area, as well as the automated production line. "Sovelmash" has already produced the first combined winding motors of its own original design: these are DAT-100L6 size-100 traction motors.
The company's specialists design motors, conduct tests in the laboratory, fine-tune the automated production technology, and so on. All this is needed to bring closer the time when the engineering center will earn profit from the development of electric motors, and the project investors will receive their dividends.
Moreover, "Sovelmash" is now capable of providing various services for third-party customers at the established capacities.
Other innovative products
• The "Sovelmash" engineers created a plant to produce the basic components for the incremental encoder. The company can manufacture these components not only to meet its own needs, but also commercially mass produce them to order. An encoder is a device that is used in traction electric motors. The in-house developed original encoder will allow the company not to depend on other countries and suppliers, and is also much cheaper than its counterparts.
• The company's specialists are now working on creating a mass-produced version of the controller for small vehicles.
• Another unique "Sovelmash" product is the angle grinder with "Slavyanka" and the in-house designed controller. The technology increases the cutting speed and tool reliability as well as reduces the noise level as compared to its counterparts.
Obtaining patents
"Sovelmash" has already obtained a number of patents, including those for:
• a device for connecting electrical elements of electric rotating machines,
• separated combined winding types,
• an induction hub motor.
The company's specialists are working on registering new patents.
Scientific work and publications in the media
