Geography of SOLARGROUP investors year-wise

On the eve of New Year 2021, we are summing up the work of SOLARGROUP team and sharing the statistics on how the geography of investors in our project has been growing and changing.

Today, the crowdinvesting company SOLARGROUP is known in more than 200 countries around the world; more than 215 thousand participants are registered in the back office of solar.group website and over 32 thousand people have invested in our project.

Everything started in the summer of 2017, when crowd funding of the project "Duyunov's motors" had just launched in Russia. Despite the fact that back then few people had heard about the talented engineer Dmitriy Duyunov and his technology "Slavyanka", by the end of 2017, 2,743 people had invested in this promising development. The TOP 10 countries by the number of investors included Russia (81%), Ukraine (5 %), Belarus (3 %), Kazakhstan (2 %), as well as Germany (1 %), the United States (1%), Estonia (1 %), Latvia (1 %), Israel (1 %) and the United Kingdom (1 %). Almost all the investors were Russian-speaking, since there was no information about the project in other languages then.

December 2018. The project has been operating for over a year, it has successfully passed two funding stages and attracted 8,710 investors. We are known far beyond the boundaries of the CIS, and the investors include the citizens of Asia and Africa. Now the TOP 10 countries by investments are as follows: Russia (65 %), Ukraine (4%), Indonesia (4%), Germany (3%), Belarus (3%), Kazakhstan (2%), India (2%), Côte d'Ivoire (1%), Italy (1%), USA (1%).

December 2019. We are 2.5 years old! The project has passed 11 funding stages. This year we make a breakthrough: we open national representative offices of the project in 7 countries of the world, on three continents: France, Côte d'Ivoire, Germany, Bulgaria, India, Vietnam and Hungary. The policy of our geographical expansion has borne fruit: by the end of 2019, SOLARGROUP already has 21,974 investors. The distribution of countries in the TOP 10 has changed dramatically, the share of Russian-speaking investors is not dominant any more: Russia (35%), India (15 %), Vietnam (10 %), Indonesia (5 %), Côte d'Ivoire (4 %), Ukraine (2 %), Germany (2 %), Bulgaria (2 %), Italy (2 %), Belarus (2 %).

December 2020. The project is 3.5 years old! We have successfully completed 14 stages and are supported by 32,264 investors from more than 200 countries. For the first time, the total share of investors from Asian countries has exceeded the number of Russian investors in the project, and India is confidently catching up with Russia. The TOP 10 countries by the number of investors are as follows: Russia (26%), India (22 %), Vietnam (12 %), Indonesia (5 %), Côte d'Ivoire (4 %), Germany (2 %), Ukraine (2 %), Bulgaria (2 %), Benin (2 %), Italy (1 %).

In just 3.5 years, our project has become not just international, but widely known all over the world. The idea of crowdinvesting elicits a lively response in the hearts of private investors because together we solve one of the most important problems of our time - the environmental issue - and get access to high-profit investment, shaping our own source of passive income for the future.
