Weekly report on the Duyunov Motors project

Weekly report on the Duyunov Motors project

Last week at Sovelmash, work continued on manufacturing the first batch of angle grinders and on setting up serial production processes for other products.

• Components for the angle grinder were being manufactured, with the first batch expected at the end of May. In particular, the rotors were cast.
• In the Sovelmash laboratory, a vibration test bench was commissioned, and strength testing of the Angle grinder was started on it to assess the safety of its operation and transportation.
• Bushings for a size 305 aircraft engine were produced using a serial manufacturing process.
• Installation of the powder coating booth began, along with its connection to the utilities.
• Harmonic drives are undergoing testing; minor issues with the mathematical modeling of the working surfaces have been identified and are being addressed.
• A vertical injection molding machine for Angle grinder bushings has been commissioned — for these products it reduces production cost compared to the large injection molding machine.
• On the slotting machine, the Chinese suction oil filter was replaced with an in-house one — for forming keyways.
