Weekly highlights from the Duyunov's Motors project
Last week, Sovelmash worked on producing innovative products to order and improving its production processes.
• Serial production of angle-grinder flange shafts was underway.
• Another batch of angle grinders was shipped to customers.
• Technologies for casting metal in permanent molds were being introduced and refined. With a permanent-mold casting machine, the rotor casting process is accelerated by a factor of 8–11. It became possible to assemble the rotor structure without welding — this also significantly increases productivity.
• A batch of housed motors manufactured to the customer's requirements was being assembled.
• Work continued to expand the equipment fleet. Another robotic machine tool was taken out of storage and installed at its workstation.
