March 12, 2019 in the history of the project: obtaining a certificate of the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" resident

Exactly a year ago, the company "SovElMash" received a document confirming the resident status. A new milestone in the development of the project "Duyunov's motors" has begun.
From the point of view of today, this event can be taken for granted. However, the procedure for obtaining the resident status and the corresponding document was quite complicated and slow. The company's employees worked hard for months to achieve this goal.

The preparatory activities began at the end of 2017: the application was submitted to the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the city of Moscow and the land lot at the "Alabushevo" site was preliminarily approved.

Then the special state commission carefully checked "SovElMash" and the application for the whole year (!): the business plan, economic and legal aspects were subjected to the most scrupulous examination and analysis.

After the entry into the special economic zone was approved, it took another two months to prepare documentation for signing the future agreement between "SovElMash" and the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" to adjust the schedules and budget estimates.

On February 15, the agreement was signed at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. Along with the honorary status of a resident, "SovElMash" got the opportunity to build a design and engineering enterprise and do business there in favorable tax, financial and high-tech conditions. A month later, the company was issued the official resident certificate.

It took more than two years to get the status of a the special economic zone resident and the corresponding document! And it's not because the "SovElMash" team worked slowly — waiting for the inspection results took most of the time.

Within a year after receiving the resident certificate, Dmitriy Duyunov's team carried out a huge amount of work, independently preparing the project of the research and development enterprise, while developing and testing motors in their own laboratory — a unique experience for Russia!

Now all of us — both the organizers and participants of the project "Duyunov's motors" — are again in the waiting mode for the day when the state experts complete the verification of the project documentation and give the go-ahead for the engineering center construction.

Starting on the same day as stage 12 of the project development, the state examination will definitely last longer than it. We can only hope that at stage 13 it will be completed and we will be able to start the construction, continue to develop the project moving only forward.
