Work routine at "SovElMash": vacuum die casting

The project "Dyuynov's motors" has obtained the resident status of the SEZ "Technopolis "Moscow" and soon the construction of the future design engineering department will start.
It means that in the near future the project will go to the development stage of producing small-scale pilot batches of motors.
That's why it's fundamentally important to fine-tune the methods and technologies of producing parts that in the future will make the new motor prototypes.

Currently thanks to using additive technologies, the team can manufacture and assemble motor packs in-house using our own laser equipment. The 3D-printer is actively used for making the tooling, special silicone moulds for casting the required parts. All of this is the preparation for the procedure of vacuum die casting that is necessary for making rotors and casting of the "squirrel" cage moulds. There are different methods of completing this task but this way allows to reduce the time and cost of manufacturing the pilot batch of motors.
